高校英語について、久々に記す。
とはいえ、ずっと以前から僕の着想は変わらないし、こんごも変えるつもりは無い。
どこまでもおのれの出自や経験に拠っているからだ。
そもそもだ。
産業界にて英米人相手に英語を使い続けてみれば分かること。
世界をリアルに成すさまざまな「知識と命題」(とくに理科と社会科)を広くかつ仔細に了解し了察もしてこそ、「それらを成す単語間の文法秩序」がありうる。
逆は無意味だ。
「単語間の文法秩序」ばかりをどれだけ多様に組み合わせても、そこから既得のリアルな「知識と命題」(理科と社会科)が自動的に復元されることはない。
え?なになに?
AIを使えば可能かって?
なるほど、AIは数学マシンだ、よって「単語間の文法秩序」に則って’全く新規の’知識命題をポコポコ生成することはなんぼでも可能だ。
しかしだね、そんな幽霊のような知識命題が、リアルな産業や科学技術や権利義務の世界において何の意義がありえようか?
日記を記す上ですら役に立たないのでは?
以上まで考えてみれば、勉強においては「既得の(理科や社会科の)知識命題」が最優先であること、そして「単語間の文法秩序」は一番さいごでよいこと、同意頂けるはずだ。
しかし現行の英語教育カリキュラムでは、授業コマ消化と事業化のためにわざわざ英文法を反復的に…。
だから、つまんねぇんだ。
それでも、英文法について、ちょっとは教養力向上に結び付けられないものか、と考えてみた。
それで僕なりに考案したのが、以下の英文法課題だ。
おそらく大半は高2生でも理解出来るものだ。
以下の英文を日本語に訳せ。
